Did you know about the existence of curved Xlam?
A 5-storey building made of curved-in-plan CLT walls, designed by architect Paolo Cavallin, is being erected in Verona. A compelling challenge for an important building, strongly endorsed by Alessandro Lovato, who plays a double role as customer/owner and materials supplier, being the owner of Alessandro Lovato Legnami S.r.l, situated in Settimo di Pescantina (Verona).
This is going to be the first time this kind of panels are being used in Italy, and works are going to start soon. Ergodomus took care of the production engineering and, in addition, provided consultation for the structural analysis, looked after by engineer Carmine Abbruzzese.
Moreover, the energy performances will be considerable.
More updates will be given in the coming weeks, from our newsletter.
