But there's more than DfMAy this month. The project we engineered for the 59th edition of the Venice Biennale of Arts is finally open to the public: Hanji House! Designed by Stefano Boeri Architects studio and engineered by us, the structure will host the presentations of the Korean artist Chun Kwang Young. Designing a structure in Venice seems easy until you realize that every piece has to be transported by boat, the city is subject to strong wind currents and low tide can completely stop the navigation of heavy boats. Besides, we only had 14 days to complete the assembly! Hanji House really had us thinking over and over about possible solutions, but the results are amazing!

Designed by Stefano Boeri architects and engineered by us, the Hanji House will host the presentations of the Korean artist Chun Kwang Young. Our scope of work for this project was: Value Engineering, Structural Analysis, On-site supervision, and DfMA.
