Timber: What's Next?!

February 2021

Dear {subtag:name},

Good news from Ergodomus: we're hiring! We're looking for 2 people to add to our growing team of timber engineers. If you like challenges and want to work on international (timber) projects, then you could be the one we're looking for!

Timber is one of the most innovative sectors in the building industry and today it is normal to see a building made of timber as it is normal to buy screws/steel connectors. Ergodomus was born in 2007 and we engineered more than 300 timber buildings all over the world (please visit Ergodomus' city!).

We have seen how this market has changed in recent years. So we decided to interview a friend, Peter Lang: he’s been working in the timber industry for more than 25 years and he has a wonderful story to tell.

Timber for human well-being.

Timber is well known for being a sustainable material and this month we want to show you how we used it to engineer a new home for severely disabled persons. It’s a public building, and the municipality wanted to use a special material: It's not just a building, it is a nest that makes people feel good!

Are you worried about delays on-site? Are you wondering if there is a technology that helps you to avoid them and meet the deadlines? We all know that there are many hidden (?) costs, but BIM and timber can help you: What You Draw Is What You Get®, this is our motto and a BIM workflow is the key!

/ We're hiring!

Ergodomus’ team is growing and we’re looking for new smart timbernerds!

Send us your CV!!

/ A new timber home

What about using timber for human well-being? What about using timber to make the life of the most unfortunate people better?

/ Where is timber going?

What happened in 25 years (and more) in the wood construction sector? How could the future be? Let’s talk about it with Peter Lang, co-owner of the company Rothoblaas.

/ BIM+CLT to meet deadlines

BIM+CLT can be a sort of a "lethal weapon" if used properly! We’ve been exploring how CLT can be used for years! CLT is not just a material, it is a super advanced constructive system!
